Welcome to
Grads Gone Global

Our Mission

Empowering Graduates

At Grads Gone Global, we are committed to helping graduates worldwide discover their potential and go on a once in a lifetime adventure.

Our TEFL opportunities give them the chance to put their precious youth to good use by travelling the world to fulfill teaching roles.

The job market is getting increasingly competitive for everyone, especially graduates, and with more and more students graduating every year... It's not easy to stand out from the crowd.

Teaching abroad is the perfect way to get your feet wet in the world of work and is a sure-fire way to get future employers to notice you. Moving half-way around the world and immersing yourself in a different culture demonstrates tremendous strength of character, fearlessness, open-mindedness, a practical independence and also an intellectual independence. It really shows you have something about you.

It doesn't stop there though. The roles we have on offer provide our applicants with more free time than your typical 9-5 office job. Many of them utilise this free time to complete additional qualifications in a chosen field, create travel vlogs/blogs, learn instruments or even start their own businesses.

Additionally, often times the cost of living is considerably lower than in their native countries and the salaries are much higher than the local average, so it also gives them the chance to put some money in the bank, even after all their trips and expeditions!

We see our placements as the perfect opportunity for graduates to make the transition from being students to being out there in the 'real-world'.

Founder & CEO

Jake

After graduating in Philosophy from The University of Warwick, I was a unsure on what should come next...

After a lot of researching, I came across TEFL as an option and couldn't say no!

I accepted a role in Thailand and had an amazing time, but I did not want to pursue a long-term career in teaching, so I returned home and worked for 18 months as a project manager.

However, it wasn't long until I got itchy feet again, so applied for TEFL roles all over the world, eventually settling on Shenzhen, China.

I have always been exceedingly ambitious, so the additional free time this role gave me was a key factor in my decision, as it allowed me to pursue my various business ventures.

Less than a year later, I had founded (among other things) my own tech company which is continuing to prove a great success!

However, in 2022 I decided to start my own recruitment company, to help graduates in a similar position to mine get the opportunity to do the same.

During my time as TEFL teacher, I had to pay the recruitment companies that found me my roles a referral fee. Unfortunately, this is still largely the case.

Times are tough, especially for graduates, and I have been in this position myself. So I decided I would not take any such fees and make our service completely free to our candidates!

Seeing our applicants go on the adventure of a lifetime genuinely fills me with great pride, and I look forward to continuing this for many years!
