Alexander, 27 - TN/UK

I graduated from Loughborough University with a Master's in International Security, I worked in graphic design for a few years, but I knew I always wanted more out of life.

After coming across this opportunity with GradsGoneGlobal I was definitely interested, but admittedly, I was a bit apprehensive at first as it was a big decision.

But after speaking to Jake, who had been through the process himself, I almost bit his hand off for the Shenzhen opportunity.

Getting the VISA wasn't as simple as I'd hoped, but Jake and the team guided me through it step-by-step.

They got me a placement as an English teacher initially, but with my sporting background I was able to change schools and become a P.E teacher, which was great!

1 year on... I've saved thousands of pounds from my salary, couldn't be happier with the decision I made, and am dead-set on coming back for another year!

William, 26 - UK

I'm an engineering graduate from Loughborough University and from Essex originally.

During my time at University, I completed a 6 week summer placement teaching hockey in Tanzania and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I knew I wanted to travel again, but after graduating I needed a way to finance it, that's when I came across Grads Gone Global.

I was very tempted by the Thailand opportunity, but settled on China instead as the pay was better.

The team connected me with an agency in China who found me an English teaching job. I genuinely love teaching as the classes are fun, largely based on playing games, and the kids really love me.

I only teach for a total of 11 hours per week, so the workload is really light, which is great.

I definitely plan on staying here for another year and am really grateful to Jake and his team for getting me set up here!

Kyleigh, 29 - USA

I taught for a while in my native USA, but had the itch for travelling abroad.

I had always wanted to visit Thailand, but could never get long enough off work to make a trip worthwhile.

When I saw the Thailand opportunity that GradsGoneGlobal had on offer, I couldn't say no.

I completed one semester there, which was around 4 months of teaching and it gave me the perfect chance to tick Thailand, Laos & Vietnam off my bucket list.

The teaching was very relaxed and while the salary was low, when you compared it to the cost of living, I actually was able to save a couple hundred dollars every month... all whilst exploring as much as I wanted!

I'm really grateful for the opportunity and would definitely recommend others to give it a go.

You only live once!
